Townhead Strollers recently enjoyed a fantastic visit to Hampden Park and its museum, thanks to our partnership with Football Memories Scotland, and the Hampden Park Museum. The Strollers, are headed up but Derek King who does a tremendous job in the south west of the country growing the game and is also a WFS Regional Rep.

The visit provided a unique opportunity for the group to explore Scotland’s national stadium and relive some of the most iconic moments in the country’s football history.

The tour included behind-the-scenes access to the famous dressing rooms, tunnel, and pitch-side areas, offering an unforgettable experience for all involved. At the Hampden Park Museum, the group had the chance to view historic memorabilia, including trophies, jerseys, and artifacts celebrating Scotland’s footballing past.

As part of the Football Memories Scotland initiative, within the Museum, participants engaged in reminiscence activities, sharing personal football stories and recalling great matches from the past.

Townhead Strollers expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome and the opportunity to immerse themselves in Scotland’s football heritage. The visit highlighted the importance of partnerships in keeping the football spirit alive and making the sport accessible to all generations.
