Club News - December
/As the year rounds off, our clubs have been enjoying end of season festivities from ‘Player of the Year’ evenings, presentations and Christmas Nights Out - all a special part of the camaraderie and social wellbeing and togetherness of walking football.
It was a a good finish to the year for Motherwell FC CT off the back of their recent O50’s League success and spirits were high at their ‘Player of the Year’ event.
Competitions are nearly wrapped up for this year with our Champions League event but once again the annual Raith Rovers Christmas Cup proved to be another success with 10 teams taking part.
After competitive group matches and semi finals, Hearts came out on top defeating the hosts in the final becoming champions of the Cup for the first time.
In the West of Scotland, trustee Matt Ramsay once again had the pleasure of being invited to deliver our WFS Education Workshop to the Sports Development students at Clydebank Campus, West College Scotland - another opportunity to support the growth of our game, improving the knowledge of those in attendance.
