Parkinson's Training Course

Walking Football Scotland recently hosted a Parkinson’s training session in Glasgow, aimed at equipping clubs with the knowledge and skills to support those living with Parkinson’s through walking football.

The session was delivered by WFS Parkinson’s Educator Drew Wilson and NHS Parkinson’s Physiotherapist Lois Rosenthal, providing invaluable insights into how the sport can positively impact those with the condition. Representatives from Dundee FC, Stirling Albion, and North Lanarkshire Council attended, further strengthening the commitment to inclusive and accessible football across Scotland.

We look forward to seeing how these clubs develop their own Parkinson’s walking football sessions in their local areas, helping more people stay active, connected, and engaged in the game.
