WFS O40’s Women’s Premiership & Championship

Off the back of International Women's Day, we are thrilled to kick off the new competitive Women’s walking football season at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility today.

We celebrate further growth in the Women’s O40s and O50s leagues with an amazing 23 teams and over 200 women take to the field throughout the afternoon.

Linlithgow Rose -Whites and Braehead - Reds have battled out the last few seasons together in the O40’s Premiership and 1 point separates them after round 1, albeit Linlithgow have played a game more.

In the Championship, Braehead - Blacks are joint top with Tay City Strollers and Stenhousmuir, with all clubs on 7 points albeit Stenhousemuir have played 1 game more.

A fantastic display of talent, passion, and camaraderie—proving that age is no barrier to competitive and inspiring sport and we say a huge congratulations to everyone who took part, including the support of regional reps and referees! Here’s to an exciting season ahead!
